There were some rumors that DC might let go of their captain, Rishabh Pant, but the team owner, Parth Jindal, shut those down in a recent interview. This confirms Pant will continue to lead the team in IPL 2025.
He’s been a key player for DC for many years, and he holds the record for the most runs in the team’s history. In IPL 2024, he was their top scorer with 446 runs at a strike rate of 155.80. Pant’s skills as a wicketkeeper, captain, and batter make him a rare and valuable player.
Kuldeep Yadav
Kuldeep Yadav, a top wrist spinner, has proven himself as India’s best T20 spinner. He played a major role in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 and has been a consistent wicket-taker for DC. In IPL 2024, he grabbed 16 wickets in just 11 games, showing his ability to excel on Indian pitches. His consistency makes him a strong candidate for retention.
Axar Patel
Axar Patel, an all-rounder, has been a crucial part of DC’s core lineup. His performance in IPL and his significant role in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win make him a key player. In IPL 2024, Axar took 11 wickets and scored 235 runs, proving his value as both a bowler and a batter. His contributions on both sides of the game make him one of the team’s most important assets.
Jake Fraser McGurk or Tristan Stubbs
For their overseas pick, DC might retain either Jake Fraser McGurk or Tristan Stubbs.
